Rachel B.
Private tutor in Framingham, MA
Education
I graduated from Les Roches International School of Hotel Management with a Bachelors in Business Administration with a Specialization in Sustainability and Innovation in 2016. I graduated with Honors and Distinction and was part of ETA SIGMA DELTA, which is an international honors society for hospitality students. I graduated with over a 90% average and was also valedictorian of my high school and graduated with an IB diploma and many AP classes under my belt.
Experience
I have tutored numerous students at my college in the hotel management classes we were taking at the time and am considered the "go to" person when test time rolls around. I graduated top of my class, and can help with any hotel management/business class you may be taking. Besides hospitality management, I also tutor languages. I learned Mandarin Chinese when I lived abroad in LanZhou, China for a year and continued studying when I came home. I currently hold a certification for the HSK4 and also passed the SATII Chinese with a 700. I am also with the California State Seal of Biliteracy in both Mandarin Chinese and French. I learned French in highschool progressing through French 2 - 4 and into IB French. I also went to college in Switzerland and did internships working in Paris where I improved my French tremendously. I also have experience tutoring students in TOEFL exams while living in China, and if you're looking for someone to practice your accent with - I can help you as I have a "neutral" Californian accent. Also, throughout college I helped non native english speakers correct their essays and I have an eye for what the intended meaning of many non-native English speakers are trying to write.

Hobbies
I love learning languages and traveling the world! I also am very interested in corporate social responsibility and being environmentally friendly. I write a small blog called The Responsibility Catalyst and stay up to date on innovative sustainability trends. In my free time I like to read, write, go hiking, and sometimes even bounce on the trampoline for a bit. I used to be a competitive trampolinist so I'm used to the hectic schedules many students these face coordinating between school, sports, extra curricular activities, and life in general. I am flexible and hope to make your life just a little bit easier with my easy to understand explanations and friendly demeanor.
