In the past I have helped struggling high school classmates with school work (especially writing). On my SATs I accumulated a score of 1700 after taking the test twice. I want to be a tutor because I feel that it will be a rewarding experience for myself as well as the student. When I was younger I had a tutor who helped me a great deal, and I hope to be able to have the same impact. I have helped in my mothers classroom for a number of years and always found myself after school assisting teachers with their lesson plans. I have worked at a summer camp for the past 4 summers, which I feel had greatly helped me to connect with young people.
